Scenes

Overview
Scenes in TAC represent locations in your adventure. Each scene consists of:
Core Elements:
- Background image (AI-generated from your description)
- Placements (monsters and notes)
- Walls and barriers
- Light sources
Creating and Managing Scenes
Creating Scenes
To create a scene, simply use the voice or text input and ask for it. Examples:
- "Create a dark tavern scene with a bar at the back and a bunch of tables"
- "Create a scene of a crystal cavern full of crystallized pools"
The AI will help generate appropriate descriptions and create the scene with a matching background image.
Updating Scenes
To update a scene, use voice or text input to request changes. Examples:
- "Update the tavern scene description to include more details about the bar"
- "Change the forest scene to be darker and more mysterious"
- "Generate a new image for the cave that shows more crystals"
The AI will help implement your requested changes while preserving existing scene elements.
Removing Scenes
To remove a scene, use voice or text input to request its deletion. Examples:
- "Delete the tavern scene"
- "Remove the unused forest scene"
- "Get rid of the old cave scene"
The AI will confirm and handle the scene deletion for you.
Selection Tool
The Selection Tool is the default tool for interacting with scene elements. Access it from the rightmost toolbar using the pointer icon.
With this tool active:
- Pan around your scene by dragging the background
- Add placements by dragging monsters and notes from the left sidebar (see Placements section below for more details)
- Click on a scene name in the left sidebar to switch to that scene for management
Wall and Light Tool
Access the Wall and Light Tool from the rightmost toolbar. When active, it enables a new left side menu with the following options:
- Walls: Draw walls and barriers
- Lights: Place and size light sources
- Configure: Adjust properties of selected elements
- Remove: Delete walls or lights
Drawing Walls
- Click and drag, then release to create a wall
- Walls automatically connect when endpoints are placed close to each other
- Hold Ctrl (Windows) or Cmd (Mac) to enable continuous wall placement
Placing Lights
- Click where you want the light
- Drag to adjust the light's size
Configuration Options Walls can be configured to block:
- Movement
- Vision
- Sound
Lights can be configured with:
- Radius
- Color
Removing Elements
- Click on any wall or light to remove it
Image Tool
The Image Tool opens the image editor for the scene's background image. Access it from the rightmost toolbar using the image icon.

Placements
Placements allow you to add Monsters or Notes to your scene.
Adding Placements
- Make sure the Selection Tool is active
- Drag and drop a monster or note from the left menu onto your scene
Managing Placements
- Click and drag any placement to move it around the scene
- Click on a placement to select it, which will:
- Show its name plate
- Enable the removal feature
